I rarely see television but happened to be watching at a friend’s house when Ayatollah Khomeini held an impromptu press conference at the airport in Paris on his way back to Tehran; it must have been on 31 January or 1 February. Anyway the Ayatollah, in a graceful little speech, thanked France for the liberality and hospitality it had shown during his exile. Yep, he used the word “liberality”.
